The Giclée Printing Technique
0
The Giclée printing technique is a digital process that may be used to accurately replicate original artworks and create a limited edition fine art prints. Giclée prints utilize highly specialized inks, papers and materials to produce ultra-fine detail and dramatically intense color.

The Giclée process has elevated the art of fine art printing to a new level of perfection. The process involves applying a fine stream of ink, at a rate of more than four million droplets per second, onto a variety of special coated media. Because no screens are used, Giclée prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs.

The dynamic color range is like a serigraph. Exact calculations of hue, value and density direct the ink of four nozzles. This produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes, (with over 3 million colors possible) of highly saturated, non-toxic, water based ink.
